Fabspeed Motorsport’s Lifetime Warranty
At Fabspeed Motorsport, we design, Dyno develop, street and race track test, manufacture and assemble the World’s Finest Automotive Performance products, and are Exotic Car Performance Experts. To back up that claim, we are proud to offer you the following - industry leading – limited Lifetime Warranty on our Fabspeed Motorsport brand manufactured products.
What we cover:
Fabspeed warrants to the Original Retail Purchaser that our manufactured Fabspeed brand products are free from defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product if the product is purchased through an authorized Fabspeed reseller or directly from Fabspeed Motorsport.
What we guarantee:
It’s simple; we guarantee your complete satisfaction when you install and use Fabspeed Motorsport brand products in both street and race applications.
What this means:
For any Fabspeed manufactured products with defects in materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace the product at no cost to you for as long as you own and use it in the intended fashion. For catalytic converters, we will replace a verifiable, failed, "current generation" catalytic converter, one time, at no charge, as long as any serial number and other production markings are unaltered, readable, and there is no physical damage to the converter. If the catalytic converter is NO LONGER available, obsolete, or over 5 years old it will need to be replaced and there will be a charge. Fabspeed will provide assistance to replace and upgrade your component(s) to current state of the art technology at a reasonable cost. HJS Germany only warranties their catalytic converters for 2 years. Fabspeed Motorsport USA HJS Germany's importer for all of North & South America goes a lot further with warranty coverage protection for Fabspeed car enthusiasts.
Introducing the industry's first “sound” guarantee.
Yes! In order to ensure complete satisfaction, we also guarantee you’ll be happy with the superb sports car sound of our products!
Fabspeed knows that the sound quality is personal and very subjective. We also understand that improving the sound of your vehicle is one of the reasons you turn to us! While we are not aware of any other manufacturers that guarantee “sound satisfaction”, we want to make sure you are happy with your Fabspeed system and the sports car sound it produces.
Many factors affect the sound from your vehicle, including modifications to other stock or aftermarket components when mixed with Fabspeed branded products. Sometimes this can result in a different sound or tone than what was expected. We will work with you to help you understand what to expect based on your unique situation. You must 1st let our knowledgeable Performance Experts know about any non-Fabspeed or other modifications prior to purchase. This way we can tailor a system to produce “sports car sound” to your liking! Race and Competition exhaust systems and Off Road exhaust systems and components are logically NOT covered by sound solutions warranty. Inquire when unsure.
Our ‘Fabspeed Sound Solution’:
The Fabspeed Sound Solution Warranty applies to Original Owners for systems purchased Directly from Fabspeed (systems purchased through wholesalers, dealers or installers are not currently covered). If you are not happy with the sound of a Fabspeed brand manufactured exhaust, you can return it in accordance with the following terms.
Fabspeed’s limited Sound Solution Warranty became effective on May 15, 2019. It begins on the product delivery date and ends forty-five (45) days thereafter. First, we ask you to call us while the product is still properly installed on the vehicle - often we can help overcome sound objections with simple modifications based on your unique circumstances. If you are not satisfied after consulting with us, we offer you, the original retail purchaser, a single one-time opportunity to return or exchange the product. All shipping and handling costs will be covered by the customer. Exhaust tips, airfilters, airboxes and certain items are not logically returnable under a sound solutions warranty.
Please note: FABSPEED’S SOUND SOLUTION WARRANTY EXPIRES 45 DAYS AFTER THE PURCHASE DATE, and it is valid only for THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER.
To submit a warranty claim
The Original Retail Owner must contact Fabspeed Motorsport via email at email@example.com to begin the process of a warranty claim. Fabspeed is the final authority on determining eligibility of any and all warranty claims. Fabspeed Reserves the right to improve, modify and change parts and design of our systems as we continually engineer and improve our system. Fabspeed Motorsport will honor the warranty as follows.
There are a few important exceptions to be aware of:
We cannot warranty any product that was damaged intentionally or unintentionally. This includes unintentional damage caused from a vehicular accident, off-Racetrack errors or mishap, or intentional damage caused by attempting to force fit our product to the vehicle, or misuse. Catalytic converters damaged by engine oil leaks, coolant, blown turbochargers , misfires, leaded race gasoline are not covered.
We cannot warranty any product that was not used for the intended purpose. For instance, using leaded fuel, race fuel, E85 methanol, Meth injection, or fuel additives in a product that contains a catalytic converter will RUIN any and all catalytic converter. Also modifying a Fabspeed system intended for a specific year, make and model car to FIT a different car will void the warranty. Backfires, and explosions from poorly tuned engines are not covered.
Products with an applied coating have a mixed warranty. This exception applies to certain exhaust tips and other coated products. We warrant the coating for aesthetic defects and imperfections for one year from the product purchase date. After one year, Fabspeed will continue to cover structural defects with the product itself, but the coating and finish is no longer warranted or guaranteed. Fabspeed can re-coat parts at reasonable cost, so please inquire.
Catalytic Converters are normal wear items and have a limited useful life. HJS Germany warrants their catalytic converters for 2 years. Fabspeed goes alot further to protect Fabspeed equipped car enthusiasts. For the Original Retail Purchaser only, we will replace a verifiable, failed, "current generation" catalytic converter, one time, at no charge, as long as any serial number and other production markings are unaltered, readable, and there is no physical damage to the converter. If the catalytic converter is NO LONGER available, obsolete, or over 5 years old, the catalytic converter will need to be replaced and a charge for new catalytic converters will be incurred. The great news is that catalytic converter technology is always getting much better and improved. Fabspeed will provide assistance to replace and upgrade your component(s) to current state of the art technology at a reasonable cost.
LIFETIME Warranty recertification can also be bought for an additional $250. The NEW LIFETIME WARRANTY is intended for car enthusiasts that buy a 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th hand used car with a Fabspeed system, or a person that bought a used Fabspeed system that may require repairs or replacement parts like mufflers, catalytic converters or anything. If the original Fabspeed systems is damaged, missing a component, cracked or even if you want the system INSPECTED or REFURBISHED after numerous track seasons for $250 Fabspeed will inspect and do simple repairs and issue a LIFETIME WARANNTY to the new owner. WE also RESERVE the RIGHT to advise as to the cost to replace components, like failed catalytic converters, broken or obsoltete/ missing parts. The $250 gives you a NEW continued lifetime warranty to the new owner. This way the current owner has a like new updated to current specifications Fabspeed system for their long term enjoyment. Please inquire as to this unique service. We can also restore other brands of exhaust systems . For example Fabspeed RESTORES to better than new Concours condition Ferrari F430, F40, F355 OEM catalytic converters at reasonable cost plus $250 for a lifetime warranty. WE can repair and fix any brand of exhaust systems inquire!
FYI- Please note that any and all catalytic converters will fail prematurely if they are exposed to overly rich exhaust causing fuel to burn in the converter itself. Failure will occur by the use of leaded racing gasoline/ aircraft fuel, engine mis-fires, Racing Gas performance additives (even just once). Catalytic converters will all fail from antifreeze or engine oil entering the exhaust system due to an engine malfunction. These kinds of failures will not be covered under warranty. Fabspeed can determine the cause of failure and will advise our customers accordingly. If any of these problems occur a brand new state of the art HJS German catalytic converters can be purchased and welded into your Fabspeed or any other exhaust systems at a reasonable cost. Then you have a virtually brand new CLEAN running system again. Second or 3rd owners of a Fabspeed equipped car or a Fabspeed systems can have Fabspeed Rebuild and Replace or Upgrade catalytic converters and components at a reasonable cost. INQUIRE- please.
- Fabspeed Motorsport reserves the right to make continual improvements to our product line with technology and advancements in componenets gained through over 25+ years of street and professional motorsport development. Certain parts, components from time to time become unavailable or obsolete. In this case we reserve the right to advise our worldwide clientele of changes and costs associated to upgrade systems and provide warranty coverage.
Tuning products and software are not covered by this warranty
Other great brands sold by Fabspeed that are not manufactured by Fabspeed will carry the respective manufacturer’s warranty as applicable.
The Fabspeed Lifetime Warranty has limitations. As such, OUR WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF TIME OR REVENUES, INSTALLATION OR DE-INSTALLATION COSTS, INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF USE OF THE VEHICLE, SHIPPING CHARGES, FEES OR FINES, DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE OR ITS COMPONENTS OR SURROUNDINGS, OR OTHER INCIDENTAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGE. OUR LIABILITY IS EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT YOU RECEIVED.
To RETURN any system, product or merchandise you must contact us 1st for a Return Authorization Number. Special order systems, clothes and certain merchandise are ALL SALES ARE FINAL and there are no returns. To return a Fabspeed product an RA number must be requested and if granted the system must be in original Fabspeed sealed packaging. A copy of the original invoice and a brief explanation must accompany all returned items. You must follow our instructions for returning items carefully, or Fabspeed Motorsport reserves the right to charge a 25% restocking fee on any OPENED box item. Customers are responsible for return shipping charges. If an order was shipped with a promotional “Free Shipping”, and the order is returned, we exclusively reserve the right to charge the customer or distributor for the cost of that original shipping and handling. Improperly return shipped items DAMAGED in transit will RESULT in additional charges. So please its your responsibility to ship safely and properly.
Customer is entitled to return non-customized, non-special order, products within 30 days from the date of delivery. This is separate from returns for manufacturer defect. To qualify for return, the product must be unused and remain in undamaged and sealed original packaging, as well as match the current design and packaging for the product at the time of return. Sounds is subjective and therefore does not qualify for a return of a used product.
Periodically something may be incorrect on a shipment due to a customer ordering incorrectly or a wrong part was shipped and you may wish to return an item. We will do everything reasonable to satisfy you. Please immediately contact Fabspeed via email or phone to discuss the circumstances before returning any products. Anything returned without prior authorization from Fabspeed Motorsport will be refused. Any and all returns must be sent back fully prepaid. Our customer service department (firstname.lastname@example.org) will issue a Return Authorization Number, which must accompany any return. A copy of the original invoice and a brief explanation must accompany all returned items. No returns accepted after 30 days from the invoice date. No credits given after 30 days.
General Return Instructions
Please immediately contact Fabspeed via email or phone to discuss the circumstances of your return before returning any products and before removing any installed products from your vehicle. Anything returned without prior authorization from Fabspeed Motorsport will be refused and RETURNED to the shipper. Any and all returns must be sent with freight fully prepaid. Our customer service department (email@example.com) will issue a Return Authorization Number, which must accompany all returns. All returns must be properly packaged to help prevent shipping damage. Shipping charges are not covered by this warranty.
Shipping & Handling
Fabspeed Motorsport cannot be held liable for refusal of, delay of, loss of or damage to a shipment of any item. The customer agrees to indemnify Fabspeed Motorsport for any and all costs, fees and expenses Fabspeed incurs as a result of any violation of any local, state, federal, national or international laws or regulations. Customer agrees to take responsibility for lost packages that were not independently insured or sent without requiring signature. The customer understands they will be liable in the event of additional fees, tariffs, or legal issues such as border seizure. Customer accepts these risks and agrees to release Fabspeed Motorsport of all liability.
Fabspeed Motorsport reserves the right to charge a shipping and handling fee on every order being shipped from our facility. This fee is universal and applies to all retail and wholesale purchases and cannot be waived or credited.
A 6% sales tax will be implemented for every purchase made by a Pennsylvania resident. This fee will be charged for in-house installations and products purchased online, over the phone, and/or via email, this fee is required by law, is non-negotiable and non-refundable.
The purchaser and/or end consumer understands that any Fabspeed Motorsport product that is designated as "RACE" or "RACING" only in its description may not be used on public roads within the USA. Fabspeed Motorsport makes no claims that any product with this designation is for use on public roads within the USA.
VEHICLE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY AND EMISSIONS DISCLAIMER
Some items sold and/or installed by Fabspeed Tuning may potentially void portions of your vehicle’s factory warranty. Some items may not be legal for “street and highway driven vehicles”. Fabspeed Tuning makes no guarantees to the legality of any parts used for “street and highway driven vehicles” and accepts no responsibility for compliance with the vehicle’s factory warranty.
BENCH TUNING/TUNING - GENERAL
Advertised performance results may vary from a multitude of factors and may not be similar on other platforms or vehicles. All vehicles are maintained and perform differently. Fabspeed cannot guarantee exact or similar results from one car to another because of that. Our Tuning systems are engineered to produce the safest and most power out of the engine as possible. Fabspeed will not and cannot be held responsible for different cars representing numbers on different dynos, or at different times of the year. Atmospheric conditions can alter the results of any dyno session. The Fabspeed Dyno Jet weather station is always used when engineering and validating our tuning data. Tunes purchased are for the original purchaser of the tune and do not follow the vehicle when it changes owners. Please be advised, for all vehicles that are Fabspeed tuned (writing directly to the ROM, or using the Handheld device), the tune can be overwritten or rewritten by Manufacturer/dealer equipment and high-end scan tools utilizing SAE J2534 programming. Fabspeed is not liable for an erased (reverted to stock) tune. Should the customer want a new tune file, it would be the customer’s responsibility to have the ECU removed and/or Handheld device shipped to Fabspeed for retuning. A retuning fee will be applied.
PROCEDURES FOR WARRANTY CLAIMS
In the event a problem occurs with a Fabspeed component or tune, please contact Fabspeed Customer Service, firstname.lastname@example.org or 267-742-3011 during our normal business hours Monday to Friday 9:00 – 6:00 EST. When speaking to a customer representative, you will need to have your invoice number on hand. The following steps will then be followed:
A Fabspeed Representative will determine if product will have to be returned to Fabspeed for inspection. A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number will be given to be placed clearly on the shipping label.
The retailer or the customer will ship the component in question back to Fabspeed, including the original sales receipt and a clear description of the exact problem experienced. It is the responsibility of the retailer or the customer to pay for shipping back to Fabspeed.
If Fabspeed finds the component to be defective and within the warranty period, Fabspeed will repair, replace, or issue credit to the customer at Fabspeed’s discretion. Any repaired or replaced product will be returned to the retailer or customer, freight is the responsibility of the retailer or customer. Please note that no replacement warranty parts can be shipped until original parts are returned to Fabspeed for inspection.
FABSPEED WARRANTY INFORMATION
Fabspeed warrants to the consumer that all of our Handheld device will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from date of the original purchase as long as it is installed by Fabspeed’s direct customer or a Fabspeed approved installer. Hardware that fails within this two (2) year warranty period will be repaired or replaced at Fabspeed’s discretion, when determined by Fabspeed that the product failed due to defects in material or workmanship. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the purchased Fabspeed part. In no event shall this warranty exceed the original purchase price of the Fabspeed part nor shall Fabspeed be responsible for special, incidental or consequential damages or cost incurred due to the failure of this product. Written proof of the installation, that includes date of install or customer invoice date, is required to verify warranty claims. Warranty claims to Fabspeed must be shipping and cost prepaid and accompanied with dated proof of purchase and return authorization number. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of product and is non-transferable. All implied warranties shall be limited in duration to the said two (2) year warranty period. Improper use or installation, use for racing, accident, abuse, unauthorized repairs or alterations voids this warranty. Fabspeed disclaims any liability for consequential damages due to breach of any written or implied warranty on all products manufactured by Fabspeed. Warranty returns will only be accepted by Fabspeed when accompanied by a valid Fabspeed issued RMA number. Credit for defective products will be issued pending inspection. Product must be received by Fabspeed within thirty (30) days of the date the RMA is issued. A proof of purchase is required for all Fabspeed warranty claims.
