The 991 Carrera Center Muffler Bypass X-Pipe makes a great compliment to either the factory side mufflers or to Fabspeed's Maxflo Performance Side Exhaust System.
NOTE: Carrera S 3.8L vehicles and Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) equipped vehicles have a 2nd set of tip outlets coming from the center muffler, this product replaces the factory center muffler and its tip outlets. As such, the "exhaust sound option button" will no longer be functional and also result in an empty space on the inner quad tips.

1. At idle and just off-idle the sound is at the same volume but the tone is sportier. 2. At mid range there is definitely more power and throttle response. The sound volume is higher slightly, and the tone is much sportier. 3. At upper RPM the sound volume is up a bit more and the tone is sweet. Coming off the higher RPM and letting it rev down there is more of a growl. Overall I am very pleased with it. I can't wait to get it out for a more spirited drive to really test it out! The only draw back, again going from a non-PSE C2S is that the exhaust is now only going out of one tip rather than two. Its a small thing and I am sure no one will notice this, so I just have to get over this. It went on perfectly and the fitment and overall quality appears excellent.
I appreciate Fabspeed's commitment to community and customer support. My initial impressions with the CMBXP, and first off, allow me to share what I was trying to achieve: I wanted to eliminate the "tinny or metallic" sound to my 2015 non-PSE Carrera S2, while also wanting to increase the overall sound level every so slightly. My initial impressions of the center bi-pass/x-pipe is the tone is much more refined and exotic, both at start up, idle, and in the mid-range. The volume has increased very slightly, but because the tone is improved, I find myself listening to it more intently and enjoying it much more; almost like that favorite song that comes on the radio. My Porsche technician who installed it was very impressed with the quality of the product and the fitment and finish. It literally bolted right on! The big question is to know if I am done or not. John at Fabspeed called me personally to check in to see how happy I was with it and educated me on the idea that if I wanted another little step up in sound and performance, the MaxFlo mufflers would be a great compliment to the center bi-pass/xpipe. We will see!
