I'm a car guy who loves cars and driving but have no mechanical ability but the install on this was 10 minutes even for me. Looks great, sounds great would highly recommend.
I installed this product in conjunction with a K&N high flow filter. All in all I like what the product has done to my car's performance. The HP gain was noticeable when I first drove the car. Now that I am getting used to the HP gain it's more subtle. What really changed on the car is the sound of the motor at high RPMs (over 5,500 RPMs). At high RPMs the motor has a high pitched crackle / roar. I know I am not describing this quite right but all in all I like it. Disabling the resonator on the air box is noticeable. You don't notice the sound change at normal driving and lower RPM's. It's only when you really get on the throttle that the sound changes. So all in all I like the performance the product has given me. I will say that the install was moderately hard (took me about 40 minutes). Sure it looks easy when you look at the part. The problem is Porsche designed the dryer tube (air hose) for a reason. You can use more flexible rubber to make the fit. This rubber is easier to work with. The silicon tub is thicker and tougher to manipulate over the throttle body opening. It's doable but you really have to work it on there. So if you buy this part hang in there on the install and keep trying. It will fit and you will enjoy what it does to the car's performance. Lastly the red accent in the engine looks great.
Easy and inexpensive DIY that looks and sounds great. This will definitely hold me over until I upgrade to the real bad boy competition carbon fiber intake that you sell.
