HJS German imported catalytic converters are made from some of the highest grade material you can find in a catalytic converter. This yields high performance gains and longevity so it wont deteriorate over time like lower grade catalytic converters. The portion of the exhaust that contains the catalyst is a rather large component, making a full replacement section costly. Our elegant "Slip-ON Design" design incorporates a OEM style Torca clamp for easy installation into the factory double walled exhaust configuration - simple cutting is required for installation. The 718 stock catalytic converter can easily and quickly be bolted on to make the 718 exhaust back to stock at any time utilizing the same OEM quality torca clamp. Its super simple and all completely hidden under the cars sheet metal covers. Its all undetectable. Simple cutting is the logical and smart way to accomplish a HJS German sport cat or catbypass pipe. If you 718 is ever in an accident Porsche AG specifies cutting and replacing exhaust components. Its logical.
The addition of Fabspeed's Sport Catalytic Converter added 8.5 HP and 18 ft-lbs of torque peak power gains when tested on our Dynojet on a stock vehicle. 13 whp and 17ft-lbs at 4000 will make a significant difference in drivability. I combined this high flow cat along with an ECU tune and my 718S is a monster. It sounds terrific with a deeper/raucous sound especially when in Sport and Sport + modes, but docile and unassuming during the normal mode. There is a noticeable and welcome turbo whirl sound and a deeper cold start. However, put the PSE system into Sport and or Sport + and the sound that emanates is terrific with the proper downshift pops and crackles.
