Positions Available

+ MIG/TIG Welder

Fabspeed is seeking a talented MIG/TIG Welder-Fabricators for our exciting and fast-paced design, engineering, and world-class manufacturing facility in Fort Washington, PA. Experienced applicants should be excited about fabricating metal using our specialized equipment to create exhaust and intake systems for Porsche, Ferrari, Mclaren, Lamborghini, and more Exotic cars. The ideal candidate should be passionate about pursuing excellence in everything they do. Fabspeed proudly operates with almost 30 Years of EXCELLENCE. 

The MIG / TIG Welder is responsible for: 

  • MIG and TIG welding of thin-gauge 304 stainless steel tubing, brackets, flanges, bungs, catalytic converters, endcaps, castings, pipe-bends, and assemblies.
  • High-volume production output to be monitored against production standards.
  • Create finished goods to high-quality specifications, presenting 100% accuracy to the integrity of welds, as well as cosmetic standards.
  • Shaping, fitting, and welding of raw materials as per our manufacturing jigs, work instructions, and templates
  • Maintaining and securing all manufacturing jigs, tooling, and equipment
  • Cutting, grinding, drilling, shaping, and de-burring components utilizing hand tools, basic power tools, drill presses, plasma cutters, grinders, belt sanders, pipe expanders, pipe reducers, flaring equipment, measuring tools, and templates, etc. as needed to boost production flow.
  • Executing all work assigned in a timely and accurate manner against time and quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities 

Beyond the normal activities as covered above, the candidate is also responsible for: 

  • Company event attendance
  • Maintaining a neat workspace and keeping shared spaces clean and tidy
  • Exhibiting professional behaviors and adhering to Company policies and practices
  • Embracing Lean Methodology, maximizing production, minimizing costs and waste
  • Providing feedback and ideas for continuous improvements that can be made to better our process, equipment, or tools.

The candidate we are looking to hire must possess these qualities:

  • Able to read, understand and follow assembly instructions and prints.

  • Capable to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a group environment.
  • Dependable, punctual, reliable and have a great attitude.
  • Proficiency with metalworking tools and providing preventative maintenance.

+Machinist

Since 1994, Fabspeed Motorsport has been building the world's premier exhaust components for Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, and other vehicles - and we want you to help.

This leader works to facilitate the following goals:

  • Machining and programming experimental configurations per specifications supplied by management in a timely fashion.
  • Plan, layout, and perform all machine operations using Haas VF-2 and Haas ST-20 equipment to construct, alter, repair, and finish a variety of parts. Maintain close tolerances.
  • Works with management to provide data on blueprint, bill of material, set-up sheet, or routing errors related to design issues to facilitate engineering updates.
  • Responsible for operator-level preventative maintenance of all pertinent equipment.
  • Responsible for operation of a Bystronic Xpert 150 Press Break (On the job training will be provided).
  • Responsible for operation of a Flow 3 Axis Waterjet (On the job training will be provided, back up to the main operator).
  • Responsible for operation of a Unison CNC Pipe Bender (On the job training will be provided, back up to the main operator).
  • Works with minimal supervision to accurately accomplish any given task.
  • Orders tools/supplies for most Operations as well as any gages that may be required.
  • Develop workholding and select cutting tools for Milling and Turning programs.
  • Create and compile necessary documents to aid in setting up machines.
  • Integrate work with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Scheduling Departments to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the factory.
  • Must work in a safe manner and report any safety, machine, or equipment issues.
  • Generate or edit part Milling and Turning programs that meet production objectives for optimum cost, quality, speed, throughput, and on-time customer deliveries.
  • Assists others as required.

This is not a typical factory environment with high volume production. The operator will spend the majority of their time running the Haas CNC equipment (VF-2 + ST-20) and will spend the remainder of their available time operating the Press Break as needed. Operation of the Flow Waterjet and Unison CNC pipe bender will only be required as a backup to the main operators.

+Web Developer

Fabspeed is looking for a talented web developer who has a varied skill set and the flexibility to work in a small business environment. This person develops and manages the website, and also collaborates with all departments to facilitate and refine our ERP/CRM software. This professional is responsible for correspondence with 3rd party developers, IT project management, and market entry paths. 

This leader works to facilitate the following goals:

  • Design, code, and modify the Fabspeed website from layout to functionality, according to specifications
  • Create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation
  • Build new features and components in BigCommerce, including flexible content blocks and functionality for animation, video, and infographic elements
  • Implementing API integration for wholesale and partner websites
  • Perform website performance analysis, identify and propose improvements
  • Coordinate with all departments to ensure functional efficiency of software and IT investments
  • Perform day-to-day IT troubleshooting
  • Lead the efficient integration and data management of ERP systems with third parties and team members
  • Manage website accuracy and day-to-day maintenance

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Web Development or Computer Science
  • 3+ Years Web Design
  • 3+ Years experience with HTML
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel

Desired Skills:

  • API Integration Experience
